From September 22 to 28th, SeniorBridge recognizes Fall Prevention Awareness Week.
As adults age, the risk for falls can increase considerably. The risk for serious injury as a result of falls also increases. Each year, 1 in 3 seniors has a fall that could send them to the hospital. Twenty to thirty percent of people who fall suffer injuries that can reduce mobility and make it hard to live independently.*
Because falls are more dangerous for seniors, it is important that special precautions are taken to lower the risk for them.
