National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers Spotlights SeniorBridge
Inside GCM - December 1, 2010 - Claudia Fine of Fine & Newcombe Associates and Rona Bartelstone of Rona Bartelstone Associates, two leading organizations in New York and Florida respectively are examples of geriatric care mangers who chose to capitalize on their companies' worth in order to transition to a new phase of professional growth....
One of the reasons Fine considered being acquired by Larry Sosnow, the founder of what is now SeniorBridge, was because his vision for the company aligned with her professional interests.
"From his experience in homecare, he had come to recognize the importance of having professional involvement in the home when patients had complex needs. With my background in public health, I believed that the care management processes could have a major impact on the future of health care" said Claudia Fine....
"At first, I was concerned that being acquired meant that I had to take a back seat role. More than ten years later, I can report that the acquisition gave me many opportunities to learn and grow professionally in ways that I would not have been able to do if I had restricted myself to my private care management company. Rather than taking the back seat I believe that I have been able to actively participate in major health care paradigm shifts!"...
Rona Bartelstone joined SeniorBridge in order to...focus her energies on fulfilling a lifetime goal of moving care management from a boutique cottage industry toward a mainstream national industry. "While we had the national platform of our Independent Practice Associates, Rona Bartelstone Associates didn't have the resources to grow the network to the level we envisioned." says Bartelstone.
