Forbes.com Features SeniorBridge's Expertise in Helping People Age with Quality of Life and a SeniorBridge Client

The expertise of SeniorBridge's Eric C. Rackow, MD and Claudia Fine, LCSW, MPH in helping people age with quality of life  is featured in Forbes.com, the world's most widely visited business web site with 8.8 million unique visitors, as part of an article about longevity.  SeniorBridge's centenarian client, Elmer Easton, is also featured along with his regular routine of walking every day that weather permits, part of a care plan developed and implemented by his SeniorBridge care manager.

Below are a few excerpts:

If you want to live to be 100, “you have to live an active life both mentally and physically, and you do not want to be overweight,” says Eric Rackow, M.D., professor of medicine at New York University and chief executive of at-home healthcare provider SeniorBridge.”

Drinking a lot of water, SeniorBridge elder-care specialist Claudia Fine says, is especially crucial as you age because you’re more likely to take dehydrating medications

“We live in a stressful world,” says Dr. Rackow. “You need to be able to take time for yourself and enjoy what you do.”

Strong social connections will also keep the years piling on, advises Dr. Rackow.

Elmer Easton, who will be 102 in December, takes a walk every single day that weather allows.
