H2U spotlighted SeniorBridge's success helping families with elder care in the November newsletter
Excerpt:
One of the greatest long term care decisions you can make when caring for an older adult is the decision to hire a private caregiver on your own. The workers who usually provide chronic custodial care are often referred to as home health aides, certified nursing assistants and custodial care workers. Home health aides provide a wide range of assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, assisting with ambulate or transferring, toileting, feeding and providing medication reminders. In addition, home health aides help with meal preparation, making medical appointment, transportation, laundry and companionship.
SeniorBridge provides the family with the ability to handle the direct care issues, the financial and legal obligations at the same time as providing professional guidance about the most appropriate care for their loved ones.
