Certificates of Appreciation for the SeniorBridge Houston Team
SeniorBridge Houston client Patricia T. went out of her way to let her care team know how much they had come to mean to her and her family, creating a “Certificate of Appreciation” for each of the 10 SeniorBridge associates and caregivers who cared for her during five months of cancer treatment and recuperation. She explained, “I just wanted to try and let them know in a special way how thankful I am for their service.”
Patricia received treatment at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, staying in the area for five months in order to be close to the facility and her doctors. Her family in East Texas often made the trip to Houston to visit, but couldn’t always be there with her. They turned to SeniorBridge to provide around-the-clock care, including housekeeping, meal prep, and accompanying her to medical appointments. In a note to SeniorBridge Houston branch manager Lisa Mortensen after returning home, Patricia wrote, “You made it possible for us to overcome obstacles that would have been extremely hard without your help.”
“At SeniorBridge, we’re proud to offer families the kinds of solutions that make life better and provide peace of mind...We give their loved ones the level of in-home care that we would for our own family members,” says Lisa.
Patricia concurs, noting, “I had some wonderful conversations and enjoyable days with several of the caregivers…I know there is purpose in all things and have seen so many blessings along the way with this journey I’m traveling. I’m proud to say that you all have been one of those many blessings.”
